Its mission is to ensure equal access to all aspects of college life, empowering students to succeed both academically and personally.

The Purple Apron Food Pantry at Hunter College offers free groceries to students facing food insecurity. Available year-round on the main and Brookdale campuses, it provides a variety of food items with no appointment or income requirements—students just need to show their ID.

The Career Center at Hunter College supports students and alumni with career planning, job searches, and professional development. Services include resume reviews, interview prep, internship guidance, and access to job listings through Handshake.

The International Students Office at Hunter College supports F-1 and J-1 students with immigration compliance, including visas, SEVIS, work eligibility, and program updates. It also assists prospective students with admissions documents like the I-20, financial proof, and English proficiency requirements.

The Office of Financial Aid at Hunter College helps students afford their education by providing access to grants, loans, scholarships, and work-study opportunities. It guides students through the application process and ensures they meet eligibility requirements for federal, state, and institutional aid.

Hunter College Counseling Services provides free, confidential support to students facing emotional, academic, or personal challenges. Services include short-term individual counseling, crisis support, and referrals, helping students manage stress, anxiety, adjustment issues, and more.

HunterUSG Student-Led Projects

Purple PEERiod Project (PPP)

The Purple PEERiod Project at Hunter College is a student-led initiative supported by the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) and funded by student activity fees. Its goal is to combat period poverty by providing free menstrual products—such as pads and tampons—to students who need them. These products are distributed during weekly events, often held on the third floor of the North Building, and are also made available in restrooms and select campus offices like the Office of Student Activities and the USG Office.

PPP takes place every TUESDAY in the NORTH building (3rd floor at the end of the Skybridge)  12-1 pm
